Here at Villa Cross Soup Kitchen, we are delighted to announce that we have been shortlisted by The People’s Projects as one of five projects in the ‘Central West’ region with the chance to receive up to £50,000 from the Big Lottery Fund!
At Villa Cross Soup Kitchen, we provide a hot meal, clothing, advice, and assistance to disadvantaged local people, in a warm and friendly environment where they are treated with respect and dignity.
Should we be successful, the funding will help us meet the growing demand for the Soup Kitchen. We will use the funding to:
- Increase our capacity in larger premises, allowing us to cater for a wider range of beneficiaries and offer increased levels of support.
- Offer health support by health practitioners and information via trained volunteers
- Open a learning zone
- Expand our provision of clothing support
